About Artes and Mystic Artes

Artes and Mystic Artes are unique skills that each playable character can access based on their equipment. Artes are accessible via weapons while Mystic Artes are accessible via costumes. Due to this, Artes can be shared amongst other characters that use the same weapon, but Mystic Artes are unique to that specific character. A character is able to equip two Artes, but only one Mystic Arte. This is due to Mystic Artes being drastically stronger than Artes and have various other benefits as well.

Artes

Every 4 and 5 weapon has an associated Arte. At the beginning of the game, there were 4 different types of Artes: Damage (/), Buff (/), Heal (/), and Passive (/).

Within each Arte type are various subtypes. Damage Artes can be either Projectile, Trap, Magic Circle, Burst, and Surrogate. Buff Artes can be Status Up (Atk, Def, Crit Dmg, and Crit Rate), Enchantment, or Mystic Artes Regenerate. Heal Artes are any Artes that can heal the HP of a player or ally, regardless if there are additional benefits to the Arte. And Passive Artes are specifically a Detection Arte, which helps detect PB-fragments, Secret Missions, and Chests, and Gather Arte, which increases the gather radius for Gald and Ingredients.

After a few weeks into the game, Passive Artes were removed. The Detection Arte was replaced with a visual arrow to show the general direction the special episode pick-ups while the Gather Arte was replaced by a permanent magnetism regardless of distance.
